Equity Audits
Equity Audits
A thorough examination of an organization's structure, policies, practices, contracts, attitudes, and multi-year strategic planning with the goal of providing a baseline or snapshot of where the organization sits in terms of equity and anti-racism.
Audits tools include document review, policy analysis, key informant interviews, focus groups, and surveys to gather the necessary data. Audit results can be shared with the client through reports and multimedia presentations. Aspects of the audit such as recommendations could be shared with leadership, staff and service users in certain cases. The LLS method leaves you with actionable recommendations and solid roadmap for accountability and change.
Institutional Support for Underrepresented Leaders
Where members of underrepresented groups such as Black, Indigenous, racialized queer, trans or disabled have been hired into leadership positions they will need focused supports to ensure their success while the organization continues to move towards greater equity. LLS creates support plans and tools to help prevent and identify backlash, isolation, skill gaps that can negatively erode the new leader's success and even cause them to resign prematurely.
“Shared goals that support transformational change can emerge where the areas of shared importance intersect.”
